Yeah, but Fred has a point. If I didn't have to have friggin' stock stuff to qualify for collector plates, I'd be eyeballing an early single carb Suzuki setup on the small jeeps/cars they had back in the late 70's early 80's and seeing how it works.
Bone stock 1980 Special except for the exhaust and crashbars. Oh yeah, and the scabbard for the Winchester Defender.

And just as Incubus rises from a long slumber, so does this bucket of bad memories.

Incubus, for those who know of me only through this particular thread, is the successor XS11 to that bitch Succubus, described at length in this thread. Succubus now has found shade under a bike cover in the side yard. This thread was but the beginning of that turmoil. I screwed with that bike for years. Replacement carbs. Replacement head. Different pistons. Nothing worked.

Finally, a couple years back, I completely redid the top end. Again. But this time, after years of screwing with it, I finally got that bike running right. Ran beautifully. For two circuits around the neighborhood (about 1.5 miles). Then as I revved her in the driveway and gaped ion awe at my prodigious skill, my magic wand of a ratchet and I beheld the wonder of my labors - the cam chain snapped.

Yeah. I could fix it. I have an extra head with valves. Probably have another cam chain out there too. Screw it.

I've got Incubus, that dream machine that always runs well. He lives in the garage. He never sees the side yard, except when I ride him around there just to rev his mighty, well-tuned and RUNNING engine right in Succubus' face. Hahahahahhahahah!!!!!

Incubus sat for an extended period as well. But I put a new battery and fresh gas into Incubus this weekend. Started on the first pop. Finally riding again.

And, now that I'm thinking about it, it's about time for Incubus to visit Succubus again.

Dude, you should write stand up comedy. I've pissed myself a couple of times reading your wife comments and now this one about revving in Succubus face.
