  • I think I'm missing a spring....

    After reviewing my Clymer's & Haynes, The Clymer's has a picture of the rear drive unit with a spring at the center of the splines. I don't see any exploded view showing it in either book.

    I don't remember seeing this spring when i took the rear drive unit off a year ago. Either, A) the spring wasn't there when I took it apart (could be, there have been a few things missing, like the front axle pinch bolt!!), or B) It bounced off and I didn't notice.

    Either way, does anyone have a spare sitting around they would be willing to part with?

        Back to looking again....

        mro can't figure out where he placed his extra spring.

        Anyone else have one?

            Zanotti has them for $1.83 - and they are a *lot* quicker than bikebandit for a lot of our old XS11 parts.
