I have been wondering what did the XS1100 turn in to in the 80's? I mean was it replaced by another bike with the same engine of different model line up. what would it's equvalant be today? Family tree and all. Just wondering

The way I figure... XS became the XJ, from which the FJ and eventually 1200 sprung... then came the XJR 1300 and FJR 1300.
Did I miss anything?
LPIf it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.

in case anyone's interested in this evolution thingie, I regularly ride with a chap on an XJR1300 and on a recent run through the Bunya Mountains west of Brisbane we travelled 542 kms and the total difference in fuel cost was ten cents! Pretty close considering my '79 sf outweighs his XJR by fifty-something Kilos and has the added power drain of shaft drive opposed to the supposedly more fuel efficient 4 valve motor with chain drive.
