Need a 5th and 2nd Gear

Anyone have a rebuildable 5th and 2nd gear? I got that stubborn 5th out and evidently, PO had cut them back at one time. The dogs on 5 are almost pyramid shaped and the slots on 2nd look like the slots on some lowrider's chrome wheels...

An earlier post said that the gears are still available, but times being what they are, I'd rather not pay new prices.

So anyone have a 5th and 2nd laying around that can be ground and want to make a few bucks?

Andreashwiess has come through again! I'll be getting a whole tranny from him. He is the guy to go to when you need something!

FYI, SWMBO found new 5th and 2nd for about $170, she hasn't told me where.

Gears are still available from Yamaha. The bad news, you posted, the good news, they have the "fix" from the factory, so they don't need the undercut.
