  • XS 11 for Sale

Sticky is still for sale... but a song will get her...

All right y'all... I will not wrench anymore... I have tried to sell her at market rates, now I just want her out of my garage. 78E with all the fixin's... you come and get it and she's yours for $300. Lots (and I mean LOTS) of parts.... Windjammer SS Fairing, Samsonite bags, tons of carb parts, etc... help me get her out of my garage so I can get a new bike.

Carried me to Sturgis and XS98... you got the time, this bike will be awesome for you... I just do not have the time. Last chance... make me an offer or she goes into the 30 yard roll-off behind my office... I am serious... If you have an an XS, I have more XS stuff than you can shake a stick at... it is yours for almost nothing. Otherwise, she's going to the dump... I'd hate to see that happen, but I will do it so I can make room for a new ride.

Dave, say it ain't so! Hasn't it only been about 10 years since you got those carbs clean and sticky got its name?

What are you making room for?

        Snow... yes, Kennesaw, GA.

Hey Ken... long time. Yeah, it's time to give her up. Looking at either an R1150RT or a Yamaha Star. Big difference, I know!

I put all the info back up on the web...

If you are absolutely sure you want her to move on, I think I can swing a Saturday day trip to come pick her up definitely for your asking price.

Will this Saturday work? Probably sometime before or around noon? Got a decent drive to get there with truck/trailer.

Yeah... I am heading to Charlotte that afternoon, so if you can do somewhere around the noon hour, I'll have everything ready.

Aww hell...I'm 23 states away and too late in any event. What are we gonna raz Hogue about now?

Dave, my neighbor/motorcycle mentor bought the VStar and likes it fine. He got the 650 because he said that it did everything he needed to do at age 76. If I were to buy a new bike, I'd get the VStar 1100 or a Roadstar. Not for a while, though, because I'd miss having to fix things every two or three trips...

                        snow

If snow in fact gets this bike, I might be looking for mail friendly spare parts he doesn't need.

Josh, lemme know what parts you need - I plan on giving a few parts to my brothers and using quite a few to get this one on the road and my getting my current one fixed up a bit. I also have a few spare parts lying around now (though most aren't in very good condition).
