Hi guys, I'm thinking of buying an 80 XS11 basket case. The guy says it sticks in 5th sometimes. Does this sound like the shift lever spring? What do you think.

Could be as simple as a broken/bent pin on the end of the shift drum that the shift pawl has to grab to turn the drum to allow shifting up and down? Could be a bent shift fork?
Both are relatively easy to fix. BUY IT!
