Go here... click on the "Procede to parts catolog" at the bottom.

    Yamaha parts

Then enter the info for your bike at the top. (Motorcycle.. 1982... XJ1100J) Click on the carbs link on the left and it will show you an exploded view of the carbs. Those part numbers don't match any of them on there... ???

As far as I know, everything in these carbs can still be bought, but there are brands to watch out for on the jets. (Some have extra holes in the sides where the stock ones don't) You might come back on here and tell us what part numbers these go to on the Yamahas site I listed... then more people can help you. Good luck...

      Tod,

The numbers he gave are Yamaha Specific descriptive numbers specificying the type, style, size of jet needle and needle jet. You can see examples of this on MikesXS site in the carbs section.

Regrettably, as BIG MIC has found, those parts are NOT available from Yamaha anymore....discontinued!

Big Mic, do you need just ONE of each or a set of 4? Some other members might have one from a busted set? But IF you are replacing all four, WHY? Are they bent? Do you think they are worn?

The XJ carbs are fairly similar to the 81 series XS. Someone on the FORUM recently got some replacements from MikesXS IIRC since the exact versions were not available, and they seemed to work okay. Might try a search for it, hopefully the author may read this and chime in!?

              Hey that's great news!

I checked them out also, a bit over $6 for the needles, and over $21 for the nozzles, each! Their site states that not all parts that are listed are available, but IF they list the price, then it's apparently still available!? And they say they are OEM parts!

Good to know, will have to add them to the LINKS section if they aren't already on there!?

I was just going by BikeBandit's description, and they listed the parts as discontinued?! Another site I use, www.cycle-parts.com also lists them as discontinued!? So...not sure where MrCycles is getting their parts, hope they are right and work?

Big Mic, please let us know when you get them if they are correct!
