81' XS1100 midnight special; used but new
I just purchased a 1981 XS 1100 Midnight Special from a fellow for $1000
It has 5600 miles on it.
My question is this:
What are the order of steps that I should go through with getting this bike back up and running? It has sat for about 8 years.
I know that I'm going to need new tires, to rebuild the carbs (all 4), and bleed/flush the brake lines. I just need to know what little tricks that I should know about messing with one of these.

By the way should I get a Clymers manual?
