'80 SG regulator

Systematic troubleshooting revealed a bad regulator. Are they still available?any suggestions on which place to call first,to see if they have any?(the old infamous intermittent tach problem.tested per tech tip instructions which saved me a LOT of trouble )thanx in advance

Regulators come up once in a while on Ebay, or you could check in at a m/c boneyard if there's one anywhere close to where you live. New aftermarket regulators are also available if you can't find anything used. Finally, there's a couple of sources for parts lilsted in the links section.
