on the needle I have, from the top down, there is a washer, the circlip, and a plastic peice with an alignment peg poking down. Do I have to remove the peg to put my shim under the needle?
I believe you want to put the shim washer between the circlip and the plastic bit. This will raise the nedle in the bore, giving a richer mixture in the lower end.
