mixture screws
I have tried both methods to these screws out .this is the first time I have taken the carbs off. There are scratches around then so looks like been that way a long time. Is there any other way that some one got them out thanks all for any help Joe

So you have stock carbs, 79's???
or
do you have a set of 80's???
On 78/79 the pilot screw is exposed.
Later models is not.

You can buy a carb rebuild kit from motorcyclecarbs.com...I think around $24.00 US. that is per carb, so if you need all 4 get ready to drop a benji.I am the Lorax, I speak for the Trees

Do a search on mixture screws, I think I read somewhere where you can just buy the screws at MIKEXS.com little cheaper than buying the whole carb kits.Comment

Make sure you get right ones. MikesXS has em that will fit the 80's, not sure about 78/79's.Check out this thread lots of info there
