ignition timing

I was wondering if the timing on XS11s tends to go out of adjustment very easily or often. I would like to keep up with the maintenence schedule and check mine but no one I know has a timing light, and I don't want to buy another tool that is rarely used (I'd rather spend on other goodies).

I check mine about once per year and have only seen it off once and that was due to me taking things apart. Thats not to say that yours may not be right to begin with, but it is electronic so I wouldn't think it changes mcuh like a point system would.

Timing light is good to have though. You don't have to buy one of the expensive digital or dial back lights. A basic one will run about $30.00 bucks and you can use it to check your cars with it too.
