  • Fork Brace Help: Mild XJ/XS content

Forgive me, it's a copy of my post from another site. Too lazy to type it all again! Any help appreciated.

Hey folks, I was wondering if you might do me a favour and measure your fork slider diameter at its maximum. I have a fork brace here that I bought to fit my bike (off a guy on the Internet), but it's too big. It clearly states XJ650 Turbo on the box, as well as KZ750E, GPz 750, KZ750L, XS11-82,XV920, XJ650 Seca, GSX1000S, GS1100S (Katana?), and GS1100E.

The minimum diameter when pulled up snug is 2.320" or 58.928 mm. Either this brace has been bored out for some reason, or it was made to fit the 83 turbo, which has slightly larger forks.

I'm not sure if I will sell it, or maybe make some adapter rings, but I'd like to know if it is the correct diameter for the listed applications. I'm sure the one on my GS1000S looked exactly like this, even with the "FORGED" stamped into it.

    Thanks a lot.

I don't know why the 82 XS11 would be listed, but not any of the others. Any ideas?
