  • Just took my new old XS for the first ride!

Its the 79. OK, model 1980 1.1 european standard.
Fitted the exhausts today with a friend. This is him on the bike.

I took the headers from my 78, but they.. sort of... fell apart. So he had to weld them back together.
Anyhoo, runs great, brakes have to settle, have to fit the handlebars from 78 and both fenders and rear blinkers (look better, these have a few dings).

Now a question. Blinker relay... has a yellow/green sorta wire going out and it connects to a green/yellow wire that is bundeled together with a black wire. All under the right sidecover. Where does the black wire connect to?

If it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.

Looking good there, Strom! So how does thatt work - in North America we drive on the right, In Britain they drive on the left, in Slovenia they drive sideways??

        (three wires on flasher relay)
yellow/green goes from flasher relay to self caceling unit
        brown does same
brown/white goes from flasher relay to turn signal switch

        black wire? ground
has one going to self canceling unit
        tail/brake light
        tci
quite a few black wires, all are to be grounds (earths)

Uh, I will take a photo and you will see what I mean. The black wire comes to the flasher relay area with the yellow/green wire.
            Everything works... strangely enough.
I will fiddle around with it tomorrow I guess.

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.
