loctite vs. anti-seize

I have put loctite on my exhaust header nuts after having several come off on their own. I had someone tell me that loctite can freeze the bolts with the heat their exposed to and that I should use ant-seize instead. Any comments?

Knowing this group I thought I better head off any wise cracks... that should have been anti-seize !

"Never seize" compound maybe...loc-tite? No WAY! I use lock washers.

Odd you should mention this subject. I was by my local Yamaha dealer yesterday fishing for free information from the service tech and asked him the same question. He informed me that he never uses anti-seize but uses lock-tite because it has anti-seizing qualities. Apparantly, according to him, the anti-seize compounds deteriorates and will actually seize under extreme conditions so he uses a lighter lock-tite because of its anti-seizing qualities. It sorta made sense.
