    Original paint schemes

would anyone know where I could find a list of the original colors that Yamaha used with the '82 xj1100j bikes. I would like to repaint mine but want to possible change the color without doing a discredit to the model

      mercy,
large selections of colors, black or ruby red,
then let me go to the source of knowledge, owners, what is the feeling does changing the color scheme cheapen the bike? what i was considering was a mocha with ghost graphics of some kind or a dark green with ghost graphics

Roger Waters said it all in a song...

        "Any Colour You Like".

Some of the better looking bikes are custom colors.
I don't think that changing a bikes' color cheapens, or lessens it any.

          Henry Ford said it all

"You can have any color you want, as long as it's black" (or Ruby red), But seriously folks, you can't really negatively affect the resale value of a bike that only goes for a grand or so in good shape! I say let your imagination run wild and do something that YOU like!!!
If it aint broke....it aint mine!:(
