XS1100SG Exhaust Questions

Looking for exhaust parts for a 1980 XS110SG. Bike was parked for a long time outside leaning to the left and water collected at the joint between collector and muffler. Header pipes are fine. Woud like to know if anyone has a left 2 into 1 collector and left muffler. Not concerned about cosmetics, just solid steel.

Was also thinking about painting the exhaust, can anyone recommend a good high-temp paint?

Where are you located?

I've got some pipes that were hacked up by the P/O. They are not dented, but have a little rust, and the open "mufflers" were "welded" on.

You can have them for shipping, or pickup if you are in Texas.

Greg, thanks very much for your offer but I won't be needing the pipes now. I welded the pieces together with an old section of tail pipe. Your offer was very generous and we appreciate it. Thank you very much and hope we didn't cause you any inconvenience.

No worries, Mate!

My son's Celica GT had a laundry list of thing go wrong last week, so I was under the Celica all of the weekend.

He had a lot of oil leaking, and some dip-stick at a quickie oil change place said that it was his rear main seal. Well, I knew it wasn't because I had replaced it when I did the clutch a few years ago.

This yahoo sticks a fiber optic camera inside the drip hole of the tranny and shows him all this oil collected in the bell.

So, I pull the tranny, clutch cover, flywheel and the main seal is BONE DRY!

Leak is coming from above the tranny somewhere, but now I gotta put the tranny back. idiots.

PGCC, I got my AAEE from the Largo Campus, and my BSEET from Capitol College, up in Laurel.
