Air box chrome side panels

Hey, the crome panel things on my airbox have a few little dents in them. I saw some on ebay, but I didn't know they can even come off. I though they were formed onto the box. I want to see if I can bend the dents back out. Anyone know how to take the chrome things off?

They attach the same way the name plates attach to sidecovers - round metal locking clips onto some short stubs. You need to get inside the airbox to get at these.
