I am installing a standard key ignition ($10 universal switch from TSC) and it has three posts on the back of the switch...
-One from the battery +, one to the starter and one to accesories (fuse box)
I have no handlebar controls, only this ignition. My wiring diagram shows the R/W wire on the bottom row of the bigger of the two TCI plugs goes to the starter button, handlebar switch and the resistor (which I will leave wired).
Here's the question, do I need to hook up the wires for the starter button and handlebar switch and if so how?... or can I just cap them off?? Also, the R/Y next to the R/W shows it going to the starter, does this need to be hooked up as well or just capped off??
One last question, with my new switch feeding power to the accesories (fuse box) do I cap off the Tan wire that is jumped from the generator/regulator rectifier connection or should I use that to power the fuse box instead of the new ignition switch?
Pardon my electrical illiteracy and thanks for any help you can spare.
