  • Fork boots?

I am going to replace my fork seals soon. I bought them from Bike Bandit...any feedback about quality? In addition, I was thinking that a set of fork boots (the accordian kind) might be nice to keep the dust out. Has anyone done this? Comments?

Your choice, but doesn't look right on a street bike. Being they work like bellows, once compressed, on return they pull air in(that's the reason for the small vent hole in the boots. Besides., the forks already have the dust seal top-side. Mines has 25+ years and 60+thousand miles and still no leak. Besides, those long fork tubes look too good to cover.

They are installed to prevent rock pits, I think. They would be good for that, but I'm with you, bare naked forks look better!

I agree on the "functional" looks. They look pretty good on the original Honda 750 and BMW R90S, though, as well as some others. Maybe I can photoshop some pics or something. Mine also has the Windjammer fairing so no top tube would be showing at all. That is a consideration too. I'm on the fence on this one.
