I named mine Half-Breed due to the mix of XJ and XS. It was a joke at first, then it started to grow on me.

      She is unique!

Old one also known as the bastard sometimes... now a fully dressed in vetter 78E
New one, also known as holy $hit (revs like something I have never seen, didnt ride it yet, need exhaust). 79, 80 model 1.1 european standard.

Did a pic of the old one with the gas tank, side panels, seat and cowl from the new one... needed a photo for paperwork. The new bike was not fully assembled at the time, but everything looks better on the new one.

              See my signature...

              Currently red.

Transforming into a big, black bastard with a deep, asthmatic voice, hence "Darth Vader". First time I started the bike, I heard DV's voice in there somewhere. Now I regret giving it a male name, as it's more temperamental and full of $hit than any female i've met! I think I've expanded my vocabulary three fold since I pulled it into my garage.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one with SWMBO feeling that the "toys" are receiving more attention!!!!

When I bought my XS11 that's about what I had in mind, all blacked out, cut down and not prettied up. But I chickened out. BTW, what's that baby sound like with the straight pipes. A survival bike, it rocks.

                    introducing.... Rhona!

Finally took a pic of her. Still haven't cleaned her up as much as I could, but I think she still looks pretty sharp. In case anyone wanted name origin and missed the last time I mentioned it, Rhona means 'powerful' or 'mighty' in Gaelic.

Since it's got the body of an 80 special and the motor from a 79
I call it Half & Half.

But I also like "Quarter-life crisis" or "The Quarter"
