    Thanks, Cody.

Can't resist the shock value of those before - after shots!

And also couldn't stand seeing another one go to the junk yard. That is so wrong...

I called mine hy-bridized because I have a 79 Special with the make-up of several Standard and Midnight Special parts completing my daily ride. One of the guys at work told me he saw me riding down the highway, but couldn't catch me on the "Green Hornet". Now they all started calling it the "Green Hornet", so I guess it now dubded the "Green Hornet".

Ken, I hope I can rebuild my newly acquired 80 Midnight Special as SWEEEEEEET as "Black Ice".

                        Longtime

Many reasons including how long it will take to get it back on the road. It's a 83 XJ that was left outside unprotected winter and summer for many years and finally had a 60 ft pine tree drop on it.

                            Name a bike???

Actually had thought of naming my 80G. Never gave any of my rides a name before.

Tone and style of a few of Geezers responses gave me "pause" and reminded me of a guy I new when I thought I was big **** on a harley (69'). Think I may be just a little older than Geezer so, ........my 80G is still just an 80G

btw, (XS #4) what can you call an XS that's got an 80G frame, 82 cases, 80 head and cylinders w/1196 big bore as well as several other "significant mods" which probably make it as fast as XS can be short of a turbo...

So far have just called it the "Hot Rod".

I'm still waiting for my bike to tell me what it's name is. I know once I've ridden it enough, it will tell me.

                                explanation

I see it would be good to give a reason for a name. Road Kill looked like Road Kill the day I picked it up. I took a chance and am glad I did.\

Love the XS11. Any way not knowing the bike and being 50 miles from home I drove it home in the dark. Yeah I'm crazy.

It's comming along. By next spring it will be knocking off everybody elses Road Kill.

By the way just picked up a parts bike tonight. It will be a big help.
