After much work rebuilding forks upon installation things didn't lign up right. After much measuring and fitting, I find that the lower part of the triple tree is bent and the only way to lign up the wheel with the handlebars is to have the fork with the bent tube in place. No wonder the PO didn't let me know where he moved to. No wonder the bike had those weird problems in high speed corners. Now I'm looking for a new triple tree or at least the bottom part. Help... I sure wanted to get this done by my birthday.....

As always...
The real problem wasn't a bent triple tree, but rather a bent mechanic that didn't know how to align the front end. DUH Looking at the ceiling most of the night solved the problem. Tried those things and everything is OK. Again, when you learn the secret it's easy.You can't stay young forever, but you can be immature for the rest of your life...
