  • Fuel cap overflow...

Read somewhere here about the overflow from the fuel cap on a standard usually being plugged. Mine was and I sometimes got gas in my crotch if I overfilled and it wouldn't drain and just slosh around in there until I excellerated hard and then it would run down the top of the tank and on me in the most uncomfortable of places. I finally figured how to fix the problem. I had recently changed the speedo cable and used the old one to "Roto-rooter" the drain tube. I cut about half the square end off that goes into the speedo and left a flat chisel point, inserted that end into the tube where it comes out the back, hooked my little battery drill to the other end and "Roto-rootedd" it out. Wala, it now drains.
