have an XJ lost headlight. First fuse blue then when i replaced fuse headlitw won't come on. put pos and neg wire on lite it works , so question how do i bypass rsu on the xj? I read the rsu bypass in tech section, but my wires are not the same colors as the XS's. any clues? TIA

bypassing the RLU

I tracked down the wires coming from the high/low beam switch and the wire from the head light on relay (on when engine starts).

I installed 2 30 amp automotive relays ($6 ea). One drives the high bean and the other the low beam. I use the wires from the high/low beam switch to activate the relays.

I mounted the relays in the headlight bucket and power them with a good size wire.
