    But it can change as the idle speed changes, so keeping the idle around 1,100 is what you want.

      Not that I know of. As long as they are in the tolerances. Conviently, my mercury carb sticks came unopend with my 80G on ebay. That was lucky.

        WTF are you buying those mercury thingies anyway?!
        Get a set of vacuum gauges.... my set consisted of 4 gauges, holder, hoses, valves,... cost under 100$... and no worries about merc being sucked in and spilling and stuff like that. And it is a thing you will need repetedly with any multi carb bike.
