  • I can't believe I did it.....

    I know better but in my tired condition, I attempted to torque my front wheel after replacing the front tire. My Torque wrench never clicked and I was too tired to pay attention and I snapped the fork stud off. I was able to get it out, but where can I find one of these? I have a 79F.

    BikeBandit has those studs:
    7: BOLT,STUD
    (LT. SIDE ONLY) [BOLT,STUD] 344170-001 $4.10
    From 78E page! You might be able to find it at a hardware store in the metric section. I remember a recent thread about someone else who had one sheared off, told the size, but can't remember right now, will search!

      That was me. Got a replacement stud at NAPA for $1.50.
