Except exhaust and shocks looks stock, way I like em.

metalic black/gunmetal would be sharp, lota red out there....

How's it running? Get the carbs in order?

.. that could look good, but it looks pretty hot in red and black with all of that shiny stuff all over it too.
if you scored another tank, set of side covers and seat from ebay or some place, you could have both colors. it would take about 10 minutes to change, Darth one week Anni the next. plus the extras look really cool sitting on top of the entertainment center in the living room or hangin on the wall in the badroom/garage.

That's the color I almost did my bike until I settled on the burnt metallic orange. I've seen a couple of XS's with grey paint and I love it. The only reason I went with my color is because I've never seen an orange XS

Want to get away from the red, as I've got a XT250 that is 'post box red'

SWMBO recons a maroon (like the original color), and I looked at the burnt orange like AKMac's, but wanted something darker.

Decided on a shade of black, as the new helmet I bought is black with blue decals.

Unfortunately, parts are very expensive out here, and with the exchange rate it's hardly worth buying off e-bay.

Still need the following:

2 sidecovers
lefthand (pick-up) engine cover
speedo (K/hr) -Tach is Ok
clutch side switch (turn signal, high-lo, horn)

If someone has got spares of the above he's willing to donate (or v.g price), I'll happily pay the postage...

mro - havn't got it back from hospital for the head job... hopefully by the end of the week. Should be sorted.

PS - It was advertised for R14,000 (approx US$2000), but offered R8,000 (about $1200) Apart from the above, 2nd gear(fixed), a spray job and some spit and polish it's in very good nick.

Now I'm really confused...

Not difficult for that to happen though!

Looking at the pics in the 'Specs' and 'Articles' , the picture
of the 80G and what my bike look like is slightly different.

Anankin has got a small cowling(?) behind the seat,
with the grab bar bolted onto the seat.

The 80G in the pics has got a solid seat, and the grab rail
bolted under the seat, and no rear cowling.

According to the serial number (3X1 - 001230) it is a 80G (Oceania).

Whats the diffs????


PS - Got the paint... Crystler Steel blue (Pearl)

Is the TCI mounted on rear fender, (under the cowling)????

If so you've probably got a 79'

Hybrid...

Must be some sort of hybrid.

Serial no says '80 (3X1 - 001230)

TCI on rear fender. Solid brake rotors. Yamaha Oil cooler.
I don't think its a US or UK. In the model listing elsewhere on the forum, that model number indicates 'Oceania'

??????
