Right now the seat is on one of the bikes that I had 'cobbled' together to trailer to the State Police inspection joint. It's either the '79 F or the '79 Special. Either way, for some reason it didn't fit and is held on with a cargo strap. I'll have to wait till "Winter Project Time" to see what the deal is.

.. i have made the later seats fit the early bikes.
after moving the TCI box, it was just a matter of switching the rubbers on the back of the seat and removing the rubbers from the middle. i didnt care for the seat pan sitting directly on the frame so i glued a couple of peices of mouse pad rubber there instead. the seat feels like it sits lower than original.
