What to do with YICS

Looking at possibly putting an 82XJ head onto my XS1100.

Just wondering if the YICS will cause any issues? Can it be removed?

No because the YICS system is not in the head. It is formed into the block.

Don't ask...I have no idea why Yamaha even designed it. They say it increases performance and mileage.
