I am looking for a choke lever for my 81 special . The lever broke off. I found this out when I went to start it. To my surprise it was gone. I can still choke it how ever it is really difficult to pull with just my fingers,if anyone can help please e-mail me or call. E-mail me at yamahaxs1100s@hotmail.com or call me 215-692-0063 if needed please leave a message I will call back

Not to rain on your parade, but you and ever else want one of those. They weren't well made apparently. I took the rest of the lever assemble off and left the brass(or whatever metal) knob on there and it is easier to pull now.'81 XS1100 SH

Mike's XS has a choke lever - not sure if its identical, but maybe it'd work...?
maybe if you feel like experimentin', you'd be able to tell the rest of us if it works.Kristoffer
