    XJ Valve Shim Table?

    Cant find a XJ Valve Shim Table

    just a broken link to a PDF

    anyone have it for an XJ1100

    The clearences for the 80-81's were changed to 0.11-0.15mm for the intakes, and the exhaust was left at 0.21-0.24mm. I would use the same measurment for the XJ engine. I recommend using a dedicated metric feeler gauge for this. Clymers said the change was made to quite valve noise.

      I think he means that chart where you write down the current clearance, and the current shim, and can then go across to find the new shim needed.

      I had that chart in my Maxim manual, I'll see if I can find it.
