I've got heel-toe shifters so it don't really matter WHAT I'm wearing on me feet... as long as I can stomp on the back one nice and quick while accelerating.

I wear steel toe Red Wings. They're the only folks I can find to accomodate my shoe size. (13N) I have never found riding boots in that size other than the fact that Red Wing just added that size, but they look just like the work boots.

I wear good old leather steel toe. Actually since I am new at this, it helps me shift. The steel lets me push lighly upward on the shifter without deflating my shoe. I didn't even have to move the shifter. And I you have ever had your foot run over or something drop on it, you won't go without them. In school I droped a 45 lb wieght on my foot and the next day an old water pump from my 350 chevy. Boots saved my toes both times.

Whenever I wore hiking or seel toe boots the toe of my shift bo would get tore up from the shifter. My riding boots have a patch of leather sewn onto the boot on the inside top to protect it.
