Tiskit a Tasket, you need exhaust gaskets!

    Hey XS4US,

I experienced the same thing when I took my OEM pipes off many a year(decade+) ago to put on my 4-1 pipes! The exhaust gaskets are aluminum, and blend right into the aluminum head, and after compression, heat, it gets pressed so tightly that it can appear to just be a part/lip of the head intake. You need to take a screwdriver or such, and pry at that ~1/4" thick lip on the inside of the exhaust port where the pipes fit and you'll find the OLD gasket!
