82 XJ Carb rebuild kits ??

Any source for these ?? I see bowl gasket and float needle seperate , so far ...
I did a number on the float needle seats getting them out ...
So could use them . should of used needle nose pliers , whoops .

All you should need is the float needles and seats (with o-ring). I just cleaned up the exisisting jets very well, replaced the needles and seats... I may have repaced the mixture screw o-rings and washers as well but you can find a match at a good auto store. I cut gaskets from sheet material bought at Fleet Farm for 4.99. Much cheaper than buying the gaskets individually. If you need a couple needles I think I still have (3)

Hey Tom ,

My carb looks good also . the float valve seat would be good to replace ...plus the needle
Like you say , everything looks really good ...

I did take a look at the throttle shaft seals and will change them .
They crumbled and tore apart very easily ...

One set of butterfly screws is being a pain , but will get a better screwdriver . Already ground the backs of those screws ...
