cam chain cavity seal???

Question???

Above supposed to be installed right after head gasket. Seals passage way of cam chain between head and cylinders.

Got an after market head gasket for the XS and there's no allowance (in head gasket)for installing this part.

1) seal not needed?????
2) bad new head gasket????????

Do not reuse the cam chain cavity gasket!!!!!
(In about a week... I need to grind off the old JBWeld and put on some more and seal it with silicone.. where I foolishly cracked off the front of my cylinder 5 years ago by doing the same thing you almost did)
Yama did away with that gasket thingie. The new gaskets do not have room for that gizmo any more. It is not needed

Looked like head gasket does the job all by it's self.
