Helmet lock

I hope asking this doesn't get me labled as one who is unworthy of belonging to this fine group, but I'm wondering ...should there be a helmet lock on my bike? If so...where? Thanks for your patience.

There should b e one. Look for it right next to the upper mount for the left rear shock. It should be tucked between the battery cover and the shock mount. If you've got saddlebags, it may have been moved to the rear of the bike, mounted onto the protective frame around the right saddlebag.

Hmmmm...not there. Feels like maybe there was a mounting bracket that was broken off. Any ideas for replacing or retrofitting one?

You might have to go to a boneyard and strip one off of a wreck. Either that, or wait for Andreas to log in. Chances are really good he will have a few in his pile 'o parts. If he does, you can be pretty sure it will be reasonably priced.
