I have this bike. http://www.xs11.com/pix/79sf-1.jpg I got it but it sits a little high for me. I can just sit on it and put my feet down and I just put the tips of my toes down. I want it to sit more cruser. Should I replace the seat. Will this get me a couple of inches lower? Like I said I have that bike. I have the seat anyone willing to trade for a different seat. My seat is in good shape. Has a seem that is apart but that shoud be an easy fix. It's in good shape other than that.

I say lower it , cut about an inch or two off the rear springs and slide the forks up in the trees until it sits level. That is just opinion though."Beware of any man that owns a pig farm"

I'ts your decision to lower you, (seat cut down) or the bike (rear shocks and forks) The seat lowering will not change the handling of your bike. The lowering of the bike will change the handling characteristics of the bike and reduce the ground clearance as well. Lowering the seat will give you less leg extension when you ride this could become uncomfortable? Your decision.

Re: lowering the bike?
I remember James Ho lowered his special quite a lot. There should be a thread somewhere about it. I recommend that you save your original foam and work from cutting a foam block. Frankly, I don't think you will gain (actually lose) much height in the process.Skids (Sid Hansen)
