Steve - I added one of your photos onto the end of your thread. Hover your mouse over it, right click, and look at its properties. Compare that to the ones you tried to post and you'll see the difference.

thanks fellas, Still got some more work to do on a few of the engine pieces though. THe paint is duplicolor cast iron something. It is engine enamel. got it from PEP Boys. Feel free to copy, no problem at all. what a time cosuming job trying to clean all that Sh-t off the engine. But I think it was worth it. Hey Ken thanks for fixing that picture. I looked at the properties, I'm not to computer savy so I didn't gain any thing from it. When I click to add the IMG Am i supposed to type something in the text block? All I did was copy the text in the address bar and pasted it. I tried the forum how to and didnt understand. Any barney style explanation would be appreciated. Thanks

I gotta another question, That piece of aluminium (looks like a cover) in front of the starter, what is it and does it come off? I thought it was a cover and tried to pull it off but noticed that something else was trying to come out of the engine with it and stopped. Looking through the hole left by the removed oil pan it looks like a (primary chain?) shaft is attached to it?

                  Audi,

That cover is the bearing cap for the transmission mainshaft (or layshaft or whatever) you can remove it to polish it, just make sure you flush all of the dust, grit and such out of it before you re-install it.

Glass bead or sand blast? I glass beaded my engine and then restored the covers and YES these engines look very nice when cleaned up. Nice job on it !!!!

                      Hey Steve,

You were CLOSE. Instead of using the URL of the WHOLE PAGE where the photos are showing as part of the photo album, once you can see the photo you want, then RIGHT CLICK on the photo, select PROPERTIES, then copy the actual URL that shows where the photo is, highlight and copy that, and then put them temporarily in a NOTEPAD document, then when making the reply here, THEN paste those URL's in the IMG tags popup window, and then your photos will show like above!!

                          Rebuild

                          Looks great.
Will you be stripping and repainting the frame as well? Does the wiring have to be redone? How about the tank?

Well the tank is gonna get a free custom airbrush job from a friend of mine. He does it as a hobby and also draws. Probably gonna sand the frame (just to rough it up and remove rust), prime and paint. For the oil tube bolts I just cleaned them w/drill wirebrush and then ran them on the buffing wheel for a minute. As for the wiring I am planning to run most the wiring in the frame. I am gonna put on a custom speedo, headlight, turn signals and that is all that is going back on the front end.(brake switch also). As far as the shape of the wires there not bad, gonna remove all uneeded wire and solder any connections that are left. Gonna try to go internally run handle bars as well. just have the cables external. Bought a 1" drag bar and grips. Gonna have to do some engineering to adapt stock "stuff". I think it will turn out pretty good. Thanks for the positive replies fellas. I need some reinforcement every once in a while.
