  • Head/ headpipe gasket

Does anyone know if the headpipe gaskets that "fit any 650" will fit our bikes? Mike's XS has them pretty cheap...

    Hey Skids,

Here's the part numbers, they are different:
    79XS650:
    90430-38054-00 GASKET
    (256-14613-00)

    79XS11SF:
    341-14613-00-00 GASKET, EXHAUST

I think the 11's a bit thicker, but might also be a different diameter? I guess we could order a few along with some other "needed" items to be able to compare!?

Partsnore has them for 8 bucks.... if you are ordering other stuff (Min $40 order). I see them on Ebay all the time. Shipping and all cost me $10.40 for the set of 4... pretty cheap to me.

                    I'm so glad...

I'm just lucky me thinks. Local Yami dealer has most parts for my XS11 on the shelf. Good part is, it's by the SWMBO's work so she can will-call on the way home. Picking up a valve cover gasket and air filter today....

Convenience is not always what it's cracked up to be. I was talking to TC about the best place for a head gasket... turns out I didn't need one... just needed to actually tighten the &*%* bolts! lol. Anyway... was like 38 bucks online, or 77 bucks for the whole shebang gasket set. Went to local bike shop to check... thinking a couple bucks would be worth keeping the money local... right up until he said $99.95... for JUST the head gasket! I was like... ummm.. ok. Thanks.
