Rear red turn signal lenses

Hi, does anyone know if anyone makes the rear turn signal lenses red instead of amber? l have a 78 XS11. l would like for them to come on like the fronts, but since they are amber, they would be illegal to remain on.

Yes amber rear lenses as running lights are illegal. That said, I have converted everybike I've owned (almost) since 1978 to have the rear lights as running lights. I have been followed by highway patrol for several miles with them looking for a reason to stop me (I was going the other way and speeding when they turned around to follow me). I have been stopped and cited (not in a long time) but the rear lights has never been an issue.
I have a pair of red lenses if you'd like, $10 for the pair + shipping. If you find a price (Dennis Kirk might sell them) that's less then let me know and I'll adjust. I had them on my bike last year and swapped back to the amber. I won't be using the red again.

Thanks for the info Pat, i will think about what to do. l also like the amber instead of red, they stand out and should be legal for safety's sake.

How does $10 including shipping (in USA) sound?
They were in great shape when I took them off last summer.I only used them that one summer. I swapped back to the amber when winter (fog) came around.
