I have an 81 xs11h with hard bags where the locks are on the top. like most the locks was pushed down and now there is nice big round hole in the top of the bags. I have kept an eye out for them on ebay, havent seen any lately, My main question is, was there another model of yamaha that used these style bags. This is exactly like my bike..

I think all the hardbags (OEM) were that style. I know Kong ('80 XS11 SF) if a full dresser with the same bags and locks. -

Have you given any thought to repairing the 'hole' with some fibreglas mat and resin? If you could get a reasonable looking fix, you could redrill, mount some new lock hardware, and keep on with your existing bags.Ken TalbotComment
