I am completly lost, I have spent over $500 in the last week on parts, this is the last thing I need to order to have my old bike back on the road.

I am also looking for stearing neck bearings, and the chrome stripe that goes on the front of the fairing to stablize the winshield I have the old one, might just get it recromed..
thanks for the great site, and great posters..

    Hey Sleazybear,

The PNM kits for the "S"series 80-81 will work for your "H", PNM just didn't add those model designations to their description, will work for "G" and "H" carbs of those years. Some kits that ALSO provide the jets is where the problem can be, the Standards allegedly had varied jetting for inner and outer cylinders, but the specials seemed to have same size across all 4.

The Ebay is the same kit. You shouldn't need the pilot jet tower plug, the pilot gets its fuel directly from the bowl, not thru the Main jet tower. IF you put that plug in, you'll NOT have any pilot circuit!!

Mike's XS has the same 48-1408 kit, and with an order of 4, you will meet the FREE SHIPPING limit! The gaskets I got didn't fit exactly perfectly, I had to enlarge one of the holes that the long brass choke/fuel enrichener tube runs thru, but otherwise are fine. I also think I remember someone else saying the had to open or add a small hole for a proper vent where the bowl has that long channel in it, so keep your old ones and compare!

The chrome strip for Vetter farings, along the mounting screws, was available through JCWhitney. The farings look good without them.

You all are great, thanks for helping me out, I have so much to learn, and so much to do. I parked the bike because I had the front calipers rebuilt and the brakes still stuck once in a while, I have since learned that the bike shop was wrong and it was little flakes of crud that would cover up the return hole in the master cylinder.
