  • Clutch Help

Bought a 79 xs1100 that had been sitting for 20 years. I replaced all wiring and fluids and got it running great but am having a hard time adjusting the clutch. I took the clutch basket apart and checked the plates and springs all seem fine. When i pull in the clutch handle the back tire still wants to creep. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If the rear wheel is creeping while the bike is on the center stand it's most likely just oil spinning the clutch enough to get the rear wheel to spin. Now if it wants to creep while in gear with the rear wheel on the ground, then that's a different story.

      Paladin62,
Check the "Tech Tips" on the left side. You may have to adjust the clutch on the right side of the engine.
