Well, I finally got the carbs back on, hooked up a battery and started my '79 xs11sf for the first time since I bought it in August of last year. Other than it immediately redlining (probably need to lube and adjust the throttle) I'm happy to report it actually started.
This has led me to some additional questions though.
1. There is a hose that is clipped to the front of the battery box. Where does it go?
2. There is a small electrical box mounted below the battery box with a covered keyhole on it. Anyone know what it's for?
3. The lock on the right side of the bike for the side cover is a round hole. I don't see this on the left side and the lock tab on the left cover is broken. How is it supposed to latch?
4. I added the parts-n-more petcocks to the bike and neither the straight or 90 degree adapters that come with it seem to allow room for the fuel lines to go "straight" down to the T's. Anyone else run into this problem or have a suggestion to work around it
5. For the idle screw, which way do I turn to lower the idle?
Thanks,
Clark
