  • Mikes XS Jets

The consensus is that Genuine Minuki Jets are the only way to go, and that K&L jets suck balls. Noted.

How about the Jets from Mikes XS? Are they good to go? They are half the cost of the genuine Minukis that I have seen.

    Yes Grubb,
MikesXS jets are just fine, as you would have found IF you had done a search? The trick is knowing which ones to order. I need to post a tech tip regarding this. The mains are the LARGE HEAD MIKUNI style. The Pilots are the BS30/96 series.
Hope you need some other stuff, though, cause there's a $35.00 minimum order limit!

Thanks for the confirmation. I had been searching, but must have stumbled right past the answer.

I was once told that the diameter of the mains did not matter. The oriface and height from the seat to the oriface is what really matters. When comparing micunis to micunis, I have to agree.
I have not looked at the hexagonal ones.

I know that others have had decent results with "generic" jets. I think they're junk. The diameter of the orifice is always correct, but the chamfered shoulder (I.D.) is different on the generics I got from Mikes and the Mikuni's I wound up buying. Any Parts Unlimited dealer can order you Mikuni's. $3 ea. My bike ran like crap with the generics. Maybe they were from a bad production run. ??? I couldn't dial it in for some reason. No real guesswork going on, I've got a Morgan Carbtune II and a Colortune.
