    Intake Manifold/boots

Has anyone ever ordered the intake boots from yamahamotorcycleparts.com? They're supposed to be oem parts, & are about $60 cheaper than what a local shop quoted me. I did post a while back asking about the 140.00 price, & was given a few suggestions to make sure mine are bad, & I know they are. Thanks!!!

I have not tried yamahamotorcycleparts.com. But partsnmore are $90 shipping included...They work and fit great.

Thanks, I just ordered them from partsnmore. it was about $2.50 more, but I would have had to pay shipping from Yamaha. Appreciate the suggestion!

Replaced mine with a kit off of Ebay (boots and gaskets). Paid $90 US shipped. Work and fit great.

Spent $3 on a tube of black silicone, smeared it all over the boots and everything is fine.

Usually the cracks do not go completely through, so it's more of a cosmetic issue....

Thanks to all who responded! I got the new boots from partsnmore yesterday, ( thanks redbandit ), put 'em on today. 1/2 choke to start it for under a minute, then rode it! Used to take at least 10 minutes to warm up, even on hot days. Did notice though, the vacume caps were all pretty dry & stiff, they seem to seal ok, but want to replace them soon. Also some fuel lines from the octopus, ............old rubber!
