At what psi does the oil pressure switch turn off the light?

Has anyone tested the XS11 oil pressure sensor or seen any kind of spec from Yamaha on it? I tested one that looks like a new one and as close as I could measure on a gauge that reads to 15 psi the switch opens up at about 2 psi. That is a lot lower than I thought it would be. Is the sensor good?

Thanks for any info you can give me,
    Bob

Hey Bob my XS11's oil pressure gauge reads about 50 or so psi at high revs and only about 3 or 4 psi at idle(when warmed up) - so that 2 psi figure sounds to be OK

Thanks pggg. I figured it was good, like I said it looks like a new one. I was thinking it would be a low figure (5-10 psi) but the 2 psi was a bit of a surprise.

      Thanks again,
      Bob
