    Victory is MINE! 8)

It was the headlight relay; apparently it was the one box (out of the many) which I *did* not swap. Little bugger was buried in there pretty well. =)

Thank you for all your help!

Must be a headlight virus going around. After three years and absolutly no trouble other than having to sync the carbs tomorrow was to get the annual state inspection. Went to garage ,started and everything was fine,Turned her off and restarted........viola...........no headlight.......no tack.......... no instrument lights and only 2 days left before the weekend and inspection runs out Fri. Hopefully something in this thread is going to help and the junk box will have what I need.

Start with the headlight relay (under the tank, FYI).

Ok. Up early and to the garage, started her up, everything worked. Turned switch off and then back on and restarted............nothing working. Off with the seat and switched headlight relay,,,,,,, started and still nothing. Put old relay back and switched RLU and regulator rectifier. Started and eveything worked perfect. One or the other was the culprit but time was getting short, so trouble shooting which was saved for later. New sticker and full fuel tank so ready for the holidays.
