Dipstick for middle and final drive cases

Help required please guys. My bike (xs1100e) Hasn't got the dipstick in the toolcase with which to dip the middle and final gear cases.
If anyone's got one and could measure the distance from the top to the two marks, I'd appreciate it very much indeed.

      grovesy,
The gauge is still available from Yamaha, part # 2H7-2815A-00-00. I baught one last year, I think it should be about 5 pounds in the UK.
